Giant octopus display coming to library as Salem Reads programs kick off

A wry octopus narrator has copies of this year’s Salem Reads book flying off library shelves.

“Remarkably Bright Creatures” has proved perhaps the most popular selection yet for the community reading program, now in its 10th year. 

Librarians recently added 40 copies of the novel to circulation after the original 120 they purchased were all checked out, said outreach librarian Sonja Somerville.
