Keizer youths feted on national television for LEGO skills

Years ago, when Hudson Erickson, 13, opened a LEGO set on his sixth birthday, the colorful construction toys were just another hobby for him. 

The same was true for Vincent Brooks, 11, when he celebrated his fifth birthday at a LEGO store.

But during the pandemic, their newfound pastime became something more.

“We were homeschooling during Covid, so LEGO did become a part of the lifestyle to keep us entertained,” Hudson said.
