Salem city councilors will vote on giving a final go-ahead to two planned south Salem subdivisions during a meeting Monday evening.

AGENDA

Councilors will vote on a final order affirming the city planning administrator’s the Meyer Farm subdivision at 4540 Pringle Road S.E. Councilors narrowly approved the subdivision in late March after the developer agreed to preserve more significant trees and scale back the number of lots from 139 to 126.

Councilors will also vote on a final order for a subdivision at 2527 Robins Lane S.E. to build 178 single-family lots.

The council will hold a public hearing on a request from Boone Road Commercial to rezone a portion of land near Southeast Kuebler Boulevard and Interstate 5 from single family residential agricultural to retail commercial. The planning commission approved the request Feb. 3, and the South Gateway Neighborhood Association appealed the decision Feb. 7.

Councilors will also consider a proclamation recognizing National Historic Preservation Month and hear a report on the city’s youth jobs and development program.

To participate: The meeting starts at 6 p.m. Monday and is streamed live on YouTube. Submit comments on agenda items by 5 p.m. the day of the meeting at [email protected]
