After a week off, the Polk County Commission is back to its normal work session and meeting schedule. At the Wednesday meeting, commissioners will vote on relinquishing rights to build streets in the Buena Vista, an unincorporated housing community in the county.

The areas, where streets were never built, will be given back to the property owners.

The commission will also review renewal of public works contracts to materials suppliers and a health services contract with Providence.

As usual, the commission will conclude its meeting in executive session, where it can privately discuss issues like personnel matters or the purchase of property.

Meeting details: Wednesday, April 17 at 9 a.m. at the Polk County Courthouse, 850 S. Main St., Dallas.

Commission members: Mike Ainsworth, Craig Pope, Lyle Mordhorst.
