AGENDA: Marion County Commissioners to consider two new appointments, lease amendment

Correction: A previous version of this article said Marion County is hiring Brian Vincent and Chris Trussell. Both are hired but are being appointed to new designated roles.

The Marion County Board of Commissioners on Wednesday will consider two new appointments and amending the lease for its Health and Human Services building.

The county’s public works department is set to appoint Brian Vincent and Chris Trussell as a county engineer and building official, respectively. Vincent previously worked for two counties in Washington and Multnomah County. Trussell has worked in the county’s building inspection division since 2005.

Commissioners will also consider amending its lease with Pioneer Trust Bank, which owns 3876 Wolverine N.E. Building F that houses a division of the Marion County Health and Human Services Department. The amendment proposes to pay an additional $174,975 to the bank as reimbursement for a host of improvements made to the property.

Commissioners will also hear a presentation from GROW EDC, which aims to grow the economies of communities in the North Santiam River Canyon.

Meeting details: 9 a.m. Wednesday, April 10 at Courthouse Square, 555 Court Street N.E.

Commission members: Sam Brentano, Kevin Cameron, Colm Willis.
