Salem detectives are investigating a shooting Monday night in northeast Salem that left one person injured.

The Salem Police Department received a call at 9:45 p.m. Monday from a witness reporting they heard reporting they heard gunshots, said Lt. Debbie Aguilar, Salem police spokeswoman.

Aguilar said officers responded to Orchard Park Apartments in the 4000 block of Kacey Circle and found a victim with a gunshot wound.

The victim, an adult man, was transported to Salem Hospital’s emergency room with non-life-threatening injuries.

Aguilar said Wednesday morning that no arrests had been made.

“Our detectives responded and are investigating,” she said. She said police had no other information to share.
