The topic: Oregon released a report on its response to the record-setting heat wave in June. Among the fixes proposed was 24/7 staffing of the 211 call line and free transportation to cooling centers, which Cherriots already offers. Plus, Union Street is closing down for the Salem Saturday Market on Aug. 6.
