The Salem Saturday Market will close early on Saturday in an effort to spare vendors and customers the worst of the triple-digit temperatures expected.

The farmers market opens at 9 a.m. and will close at 1 p.m. on June 26, two hours ahead of schedule, according to a Facebook post.

Starting at 9 a.m., the American Red Cross will run a blood drive at the market. The drive will go until 2:30 p.m. or until all slots are full. Donors give blood on an air-conditioned bus and will receive a $5 Amazon gift card. More information about giving blood is available here.

This weekend’s market will have live music from 10 a.m. until 1 p.m.
