Salem City Council takes comments on proposed budget June 14

Salem residents will have another opportunity to weigh in on how their tax dollars will be spent in the next fiscal year during a Monday, June 14, public hearing on the proposed $662.6 million budget.

Salem’s Budget Committee recommended a budget on May 5 following a month of meetings. The recommended budget included some funding for a mobile response unit and body-worn cameras for police.
