Our Salem zoning subcommittee meets Friday

The Our Salem Zoning Subcommittee will meet virtually Friday to discuss six zoning options intended to reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The subcommittee meets April 30 from noon to 2 p.m.

The city currently updating its comprehensive plan which guides development in the city, called the Our Salem process.

Some of the zoning options include increasing maximum heights for buildings, eliminating parking requirements, and increasing the minimum density.

The subcommittee, which has four city councilors and four planning commissioners, is expected to meet again on May 27 and June 21.
