Beginning Monday, May 3, Silverton Road will be closed to through traffic between 60th Avenue and 64th Place while work crews replace the Silverton Road Bridge over Little Pudding River.

According to a press statement, Marion County received federal funds for the project and awarded the contract to Fairline Bridge, Inc. of Stayton. While the segment of the road is closed, two marketed detour routes will be open.

The closure will ensure that all of the in-water work can occur within the Oregon Department of Fish and Wildlife’s designated in-water work window for the Little Pudding River in one construction season, according to the press statement. The road will reopen by Thanksgiving.

More information on the project can be found on Marion County’s website
