Marion County to consider funding homeless liaison another year, accept FEMA grant

Here is what the Marion County Commission will discuss on Wednesday.

 First on the docket for the the commission is whether to send $45,000 to the Mid-Willamette Valley Council of Governments for another year. The money helps pay for a program coordinator position for the Mid-Willamette Valley Homeless Initiative.

• The commission will consider appointing Mike Adams, Ken Outfleet and Shannon Gubbels to the Marion County Fair Board. Adams and Outfleet are “key volunteers,” while Gubbels is on the board and seeks reappointment. The commission will also consider adding term limits for key volunteers who help put together the annual event.

 The county will decide whether to accept $155,280 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency. The money is a grant that helps the county plan for its response to major disasters.
