The Cherry City VegFest drew vendors from around Oregon for the one-day event held Saturday, June 18, at Pringle Park Community Hall in Salem.
The event put on by the nonprofit allowed those attending to learn about vegan products and organizations promoting plant-based diets.
All food and beverages were vegan, organizers said.
“Scientific studies have also demonstrated the benefits of plant-based eating both as interventions and as sustained practices for improved health outcomes,” Cherry City VegFest says on its website. “Veganism therefore serves as an orienting philosophy and invitation for the event, whether it is something people are just curious about or a practice people have already researched.”
