Salem firefighters helped rescue an elderly woman trapped in a partially collapsed mobile home off Southeast Lancaster Drive Friday afternoon.

The Salem Fire Department received a call at 1:06 p.m. and fire crews on scene within four minutes at a mobile home park at the corner of Southeast Lancaster Drive and Kuebler Boulevard, said Deputy Chief Brian Carrara.

The mobile home collapsed due to pooling rainwater, Carrara said.

The fire department reported no injuries in a tweet posted just before 2 p.m. Friday.

Carrara said he didn’t know how long it took to get the woman out of the mobile home or how the crew helped her out, but said she “was not in the structure very long.”

Crews on scene are not going into the mobile home because it is structurally unsound. He said the homeowner will have to contact her insurance company about either removing or repairing it.
