(Saphara Harrell/Salem Reporter)

Seven Salem arts and culture organizations are making it easier for families to explore during spring break.

The Oregon State Capitol Foundation’s “Passport to Fun” program is offering free activities and discounted admissions, with kids eligible to win a prize for visiting all participating sites. Spring break runs March 21-26 for local schools.

Families can go on a free scavenger hunt at Willamette Heritage Center or explore Deepwood Museum & Gardens with a discounted $5 adult admission, with up to three children free per paying adult.

The Salem Public Library is putting on art, science and other events during the week.

Other participating organizations include the Oregon State Capitol, State Capitol State Park, Hallie Ford Museum and World Beat Gallery.
