Salemites will get to participate in interviews with finalists for the next city librarian Thursday.
There will be a series of Zoom meetings March 17 with three finalists: Kimberley Carroll, Salem’s deputy city librarian; William Worthey, Newberg’s city librarian; and Danny Smith, Canby Public Library director.
Salem’s former librarian, Sarah Strahl, resigned in October.
The interview process will run from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. with each Zoom meeting featuring a different candidate. People will be able to ask candidates questions through the Zoom chat feature.
Library staff and the city’s management team will take part in separate interview sessions.
