AGENDA: Marion County commissioners consider contracts for public health, HIV intervention services

The Marion County Board of Commissioners meets Wednesday to consider adding funds to contracts with the state for operating public health services like HIV intervention and outreach.

Commissioners will consider adding a monthly fee for vehicles that use electronic charging stations at Courthouse Square, based on the size of the vehicle’s battery.

The board will consider adding around $35,000 to a contract with the Oregon Health Authority for operating public health services. The new contract would total around $14.2 million and last through June 2023.

The board will consider adding around $374,000 to a contract with the health authority to provide early intervention and outreach services for people with HIV who are newly diagnosed or out-of-care, and those whose HIV status is negative or unknown but are at significant risk of contracting HIV.
