AGENDA: Marion County commissioners to consider extending quarantine leave for county employees to July

The Marion County Board of Commissioners meets Wednesday to consider extending two weeks of quarantine leave for county employees to July, and adding funding to contracts for a road study and debris removal.

The commissioners will consider extending the deadline of an order granting two weeks of leave to all regular Marion County employees to quarantine due to Covid. If approved, the deadline would extend from the end of December to July 1.

The board will consider adding $92,000 to a contract with the Oregon Department of Transportation to complete a study and management plan for the Cordon Road and Kuebler Boulevard corridor. The contract would total $297,000, with federal funds covering an estimated $262,551, Marion County paying for $25,000 and the city of Salem covering $9,448 for the project through Jan. 13, 2030.

The commissioners will also consider adding $1.8 million to its contract with Texas-based TFR Enterprises, Inc. to remove tree and vegetative debris through September 2022. The new contract would total $2.4 million.
