Chemeketa to host community forums, candidate interviews for president finalists

Finalists for Chemeketa Community College president are Julie White (top left), Tod Treat (bottom left), Jessica Howard (top right), Robert Wynegar and Kimberlee Messina, who has since dropped out.

Students, faculty and community members will have a chance to question four finalists for Chemeketa Community College president at a series of forums starting Feb. 25.

A fifth finalist, Kimberlee Messina, dropped out of the search after accepting another job, college officials said Friday.

A college search committee selected Messina, along with Jessica Howard, Tod Treat, Julie White and Robert Wynegar from among 58 applicants to replace President Julie Huckestein, who will retire at the end of the school year.

Each finalist will be available for three hour-long forums on a specific day during the week. Those forums are geared toward students, faculty and community members, respectively.

Attendees can submit feedback through a form provided at each forum, or by emailing [email protected].
