AGENDA: Marion County commissioners meet Wednesday to consider federal funding for homeless services

The Marion County Board of Commissioners meets Wednesday to consider federal funding for homeless services and contracts with two companies to provide architectural and engineering services for bridge replacement projects.

The commissioners will consider approving an application for funding through the federal Department of Housing and Urban Development for local nonprofits to help get homeless people into housing. If successful, the Center for Hope and Safety would get $590,649, the Mid-Willamette Valley Community Action Agency would get $219,909, Oregon Housing and Community Services would get $14,696 and Shangri-La would get $353,279.

The commissioners will also consider a $450,000 agreement with an Ohio company to provide data software that meets the requirements of the county’s current assessment and taxation system.

Commissioners will consider a $792,613 contract with engineering consultant David Evans and Associates, Inc. for the Mill Creek Road Bridge Replacement project on Hazelgreen Road Northeast through Oct. 31, 2025.

The board will also consider a $657,298 contract with construction engineering company DOWL, LLC for the Little Pudding River Bridge Replacement project on Rambler Drive Southeast through Oct. 31, 2025.
