A crash between a combine and a car in northeast Salem Tuesday afternoon left two people with minor injuries.

The Marion County Sheriff’s responded to a call around 4:15 p.m. Tuesday reporting a crash on Cordon Road Northeast near Kale Street Northeast in Salem.

The car made a left turn in front of the combine, which then struck the car, said Sgt. Jeremy Landers, a spokesperson for the sheriff’s office.

Landers said the two passengers in the car suffered “relatively minor injuries,” and at least one was transported to Salem Hospital for an evaluation.

Medics with Marion County Fire District #1 arrived first at the scene and found the car turned over. Cordon Road was closed until around 5:30 p.m. Tuesday.
