Salem police will hold car seat clinic Sept. 10

The Salem Police Department is holding a clinic on Sept. 10 to educate parents, guardians, and caregivers on how to properly install a car seat and harness a child.

Participants should have the carrier seat and/or booster already installed in the vehicle, along with the manuals for the car seat and for their model vehicle, if available.

The free clinic runs from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Marion Parkade, 400 Marion St. N.E., on the first floor closest to the Union Street side of the building.

Police will also check the recall status of car seats.
