Covid vaccines are coming back to the state fairgrounds – this time with an added incentive.

Salem Health is offering free vaccines daily at the Oregon State Fair, which runs Aug. 27 through Sept. 6. Anyone who stops by to get a shot will also receive a voucher good for one free daily admission to the fair in 2021 or 2022.

No appointment or medical insurance is required, and medical interpreters will be available. Moderna, Pfizer and Johnson and Johnson shots will all be available.

Vaccines will be offered in Cascade Hall at the fairgrounds, which are located at 2330 17th St N.E. in Salem, from 12-8 p.m. weekdays and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. on weekends.

The state fairgrounds previously served as Oregon’s first mass vaccination site against Covid, opening in early January and closing July 24 after vaccinating over 100,000 people.

More information about vaccines at the fair is available on the state fair website.
