Health officials in Salem are monitoring a suspected measles case, the Marion County Health Department said Saturday.
It's currently unknown whether the suspected case is connected to the ongoing measles outbreak in the Vancouver and Portland area that has sickened more than 50 people, mostly unvaccinated children.
Officials said lab results are expected later this weekend.
Most Oregonians have been vaccinated against measles and are not at risk. People with questions can call the state's measles information line by dialing 211 from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily including weekends.
