A list of Salem-area cooling centers published by ARCHES.
There’s an excessive heat warning in effect from noon Wednesday until 10 p.m. Saturday as temperatures are expected to climb into triple digits in the next few days.
The National Weather Service in Portland issued the warning because of dangerously hot conditions with temperatures of up to 105 degrees. Overnight lows are expected to be near 70 degrees.
It’s important to stay cool, hydrated and out of the sun to avoid heat-related illnesses.
