AGENDA: Polk County Commission to review legislative priorities

This week’s Polk County Commission meeting should be brief. The meeting will start with a presentation from Polk County District Attorney Aaron Felton, who will talk about his office’s legislative agenda.

The commission will also hear from Business Services Administrator Matt Hawkins, who will present on a new position in the behavioral health department.

The commission will finish the meeting in executive session where it can discuss things like personnel discipline or purchase of property in private.

Next week’s commission meeting and work session have been canceled as not all commissioners will be available.

On Feb. 20 at 9 a.m., the commission will take public testimony on the legalization of part of Black Rock Road. On Feb. 27 at 9 a.m., the commission will take testimony on changes to its zoning, partition and subdivision ordinances.

Meeting details: Wednesday, Feb. 6 at 9 a.m. at the Polk County Courthouse, 850 S Main St., Dallas.
