Salem police found a person dead at the Capital Inn on Northeast Fisher Road Tuesday morning.
Detectives are investigating the homicide.
Treven Upkes, Salem police spokesman, said police weren’t identifying the gender of the victim or where their body was found.
Officers initially responded to a call of shots fired at 3:30 a.m. at the northeast Salem hotel.
