Community groups focused on improving health in Marion or Polk counties could get up to $30,000 from Salem Health.

The health care provider is accepting applications for community investment grants, with funds to be awarded in the summer.

According to their website, Salem Health is looking to support projects in three areas: behavioral health, particularly teen suicide prevention; reducing alcohol, tobacco and other drug use; and improving housing and access to health care.

Applications opened April 5 and are due by May 7. More information and applications are available on the Salem Health website.
