On Friday, Salem’s new police chief Trevor Womack will speak to the Salem City Club.
Womack joined the Salem Police Department in December from Stockton, California. He replaced longtime chief Jerry Moore.

Womack took over a department of 190 sworn officers and a $50 million annual budget.
