Santiam Canyon homeowners who lost their primary residence in last year’s wildfire can now apply for a $1,000 grant from the Santiam Canyon Wildfire Relief Fund.
The grant is available to homeowners whose primary residence was a total loss in the fire, according to a news release from Santiam Hospital, which is administering the fund.
The fund has to date collected $2.9 million to help those impacted by the fire, which burned down the canyon Labor Day weekend, destroying hundreds of homes.
Applications for a recovery grant are available on the fund website. People with questions or who need other assistance can call the grant helpline at (503) 897-0379 or email [email protected].
