Temperatures in Salem are expected to fall below freezing Tuesday night, and the ARCHES Project is seeking help to open its warming center for homeless residents.

Volunteers are needed overnight at Salem First Presbyterian Church in three shifts running from 6:30 p.m. to 11 p.m., 10:30 p.m. to 3:30 a.m. and 3 a.m. to 7 a.m. Volunteers check guests in, help store belongings and serve hot drinks.

Sign-ups are also open for warming center shifts Jan. 22-Jan. 25. For more information or to sign up for a shift, visit the ARCHES volunteer website.
