There was a shooting around the intersection of 17th and Court streets Thursday morning, according to a news release from the Salem Police Department.
Police said an officer was involved but didn’t release any additional details.
Court Street between 17th and 14th is closed. 17th Street between Chemeketa and State streets is closed.
Police didn’t provide a timeline for how long the street closures will last.
