Since 1929, the Court Street Dairy Lunch has been one of those local restaurants that you find out more by word of mouth than any other way. The history-lined walls, the staff that remembers names, portions that fill, all mark the downtown Salem restaurant.

As with other restaurants in Salem, the restaurant had to shut the door to sit-down dining in March. That changed on Friday, May 22, with a limited opening. Salem Reporter were there to capture the morning.
