AGENDA: Marion County Water Quality Advisory Committee to discuss open positions

The Marion County Water Quality Advisory Committee meets Wednesday, Feb. 12 to discuss two open staff positions and stormwater permit updates.

Committee members will get an update on the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System and how it impacts Marion County. Members will discuss engineering standards and what year two of the five-year permit will look like.

There will be an update on an environmental specialist position.

The committee will also get an update on the Willamette basin mercury total daily maximum load, which looks at how construction and erosion impacts stream health.

There will also be an activity and discussion about public outreach.

The meeting is open to the public and the agenda can be viewed online.

Meeting details: Wednesday, Feb. 12 at 5:30 p.m. in the Willamette Room at Marion County Public Works on 5155 Silverton Rd. N.E.
