AGENDA: Hear the latest on Salem-Keizer school construction

Want to learn more about how Salem-Keizer school officials are spending hundreds of millions on construction projects?

A citizen committee tasked with overseeing the district’s construction bond will meet Tuesday night at North Salem High School.

Salem-Keizer is in the first of five years of planned school construction, paid for by a $620 million bond voters approved in the spring of 2018.

The committee is advisory and meets quarterly. Members don’t vote on construction plans or spending decisions, but hear updates on projects from district leaders.

The meetings are when the most detailed project updates are shared with the public.

Anyone attending is asked to check in at the school office.

Meeting details: 6:15 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 29 North Salem High School, 765 14th St. N.E., Room 243.
