Police arrested a man they said fled into a southeast Salem neighborhood with a gun after several hours of searching Thrusday afternoon.
Lockdowns at four Salem-Keizer Schools were lifted before the man's arrest.
All sports and other after-school activities at Houck Middle School are cancelled Thursday afternoon.
Deputies were searching for 38-year-old Robert S. Dailey near the intersection of Elma Avenue Southeast and Durbin Avenue Southeast, which is about one block from Four Corners Elementary School.
Deputies approached Dailey, who had an outstanding warrant, according to a news release from the Sheriff's Office. Dailey allegedly produced a handgun and fled into the neighborhood. No shots were fired.

Four Corners, as well as Mary Eyre Elementary School, Houck Middle School and Roberts High School, went into lockdown around noon Thursday. Lockdowns at Mary Eyre, Houck and Roberts were lifted around 2:15 p.m. on advice from law enforcement, the Salem-Keizer School District said in a tweet.
The Four Corners lockdown was lifted just before 3 p.m.
All students and staff are safe, district officials said in a tweet. The district asked people not to call the schools.
Dailey is on post-prison supervision after a 2017 conviction for unlawful possession of a firearm and methamphetamine possession, court records show. He was sentenced to 15 months in prison and two years of supervision following release.
Court records show Dailey was charged with using a motor vehicle without permission and eluding after a July 8 arrest. According to the records, Dailey fled from the vehicle when police stopped it, but he was arrested soon after.
He also faces a misdemeanor charge of public indecency, accused of exposing himself in public on July 25, according to court records.
Dailey was released from jail on his own recognizance on Aug. 3 because the county jail was full. His release was on the condition he attend court Aug. 15, but records say he never showed up.
