Sprague Little League team wins regional title, headed to World Series

The Sprague Little League major all-star team won the northwest regional title in a championship game Saturday in California.

The 5-4 win over Idaho puts the Salem-based squad into the World Series of Little League.

Players on the team include Jacob Hoda, Avery Lohrman, Carson McNally, Henry Mhoon, Andrew Mhoon, Sullivan Puckett, Gavin Price, Aeden Saele, Spencer Shortis, Brady Strenke, Tommy VanBishler, Cameron van Kempen. and Riley Wilson. Team manager is Travis Price.

The World Series opens Thursday, Aug. 15, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania.
