Polk County treasurer blocked from doing his job, judge says
Good evening, Salem.
Ballots will be mailed out for Oregon voters in a few weeks, starting around Oct. 16.
Between now and then, Salem Reporter will do our best to give you a comprehensive look at the Salem races on your ballot.
Our small team will focus our energy on the state legislature and county races. This week, we're out interviewing candidates to press them on what they'd do if they win office, and how they want to solve some of our region's most pressing challenges.
We're also keeping a close eye on campaign mailings, advertisements and donations to candidates. If you spot a claim that you think merits investigating or want to know whether a candidate's line of attack is true, let us know. You can reach Managing Editor Rachel Alexander at [email protected]. A photo of the mailer or ad you saw always helps.
You'll see our local race coverage publish beginning next week.
If you need to register to vote or check or change registration, the deadline is Tuesday, Oct. 15. Directions for changing your registration online are here.
