Improving reading in local schools, council approves city employee raises
Good evening, Salem.
Salem teenagers need your help to make the city library a more welcoming place.
Members of the library's Teen Advisory Board are struggling to keep "Take What You Need" walls stocked in library bathrooms. The project offers essentials like toothpaste, gloves andhand warmers that any library visitor can take, as well as diapers and other supplies for small children in family bathrooms.
The project has an Amazon wish list, or people can drop donations off in the marked bin near the second floor Teen Scene Room at the Main Library, 585 Liberty St. S.E. More details are in this Facebook post.
