Good evening, Salem.

Ballots for the Nov. 5 election are in the mail and should arrive at your home soon.

With so many eyes on national races and Congress, it can be easy for local issues to get lost in the shuffle. At Salem Reporter, we've focused all our energy on the city, county and other local issues on your ballot.

You can find all our coverage in one place - our voter's guide. We'll include a link in our newsletter through Election Day so it's handy whenever you sit down to vote. Don't worry, we even explained what a soil and water conservation district does.

Also, if you need a distraction from politics, the corridors of the 124-year-old Grand Theater downtown will remain haunted for the foreseeable future.

Take part in an interactive horror experience with "Ghosts of the Grand.” It stretches from the eerie balcony to the mysterious ballroom to hidden spaces, like the basement, tunnels and a secret speakeasy.

Events take place most days of the week and start at 6 p.m., and tickets start at $22. They runs through Nov. 2. The theater is at 187 High St. N.E..

We’ll have a more detailed look at the experience for you on Monday.

Meantime, check out our guide to Salem events through next Wednesday, Oct. 23. You can find that HERE.
