Councilors Hoy and Gwyn censured
|
For the next month, local Windermere Real Estate offices will be collecting winter clothes and blankets to donate to groups supporting Salem’s unsheltered community.
|

Donations will be accepted through Dec. 20 at the following locations:
|
|
Windermere Pacific West Properties, at 4285 Commercial St. S.E., Suite 100, will donate to the Homeless Outreach and Advocacy Project. They’re asking for coats, blankets, gloves and scarves of all sizes. Drop donations off between 9 a.m. and 4 p.m. on weekdays.
|
|
Windermere Heritage, at 960 Liberty St. S.E. #250, will donate to Be Bold Street Ministries. They’re asking for coats, blankets, hats, mittens and any pet supplies. Drop donations off between 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. on weekdays.
|
|
Windermere Mid Valley, at 675 Orchard Heights Road, St. 200, will donate to the Salem Dream Center. They’re requesting blankets and new or gently used coats in all sizes. Drop off donations on weekdays between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
|
|
Those attending Ducks and Beavers games will also have a chance to donate. See a list of the basketball, volleyball and football games Windermere will be collecting donations here.

We will publish a guide to local retailers on Friday, Nov. 29. There is no cost for participation, but here’s what we need from your business:

- Name, address, hours, phone, website
- One gift item described + price – 3 sentences or so.
- If possible, a photo of the gift.
- Item should be in stock at your store
- Gift certificates – do you offer them?
