Good evening, Salem.

Results are in for Oregon's student mock election, hosted by Oregon's League of Women Voters.

With about 33,000 students from across the state casting ballots, Kamala Harris won the presidential race with 54% of the student vote. Students also passed Oregon Measure 117, which would create a ranked choice voting system, by 72%, and rejected corporate tax Measure 118, with 52% voting no.

About 16,000 Salem and Keizer students participated through their social studies classes. We'll have results from the district next week.

Several venues around Salem will celebrate Dia de Muertos this weekend.

Perhaps the largest observation will be at McKay High School from 12-8 p.m. Saturday, hosted by Casa de Cultura Tlanese. A variety of local singers and dancers will perform. See here for a full schedule.
