Regence patients face canceled Salem Health appointments
Good evening, Salem.
If you’ve ever wondered what it takes to make water safe to drink, an upcoming event might be for you.
The city of Salem and Marion Soil & Water Conservation District are leading a free tour of two water treatment facilities to show how water makes the journey to and from their homes. The tour includes a free lunch for attendees. It will be on Thursday, April 3, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
The tour will visit the Geren Island Water Treatment Facility, which makes water safe to drink, and Willow Lake Wastewater Pollution Control Facility, which treats water once it leaves the house.
There is a limited number of spots available. Click here to RSVP.
