Good evening, Salem.

This week's warmer weather is a reminder spring isn't too far around the corner.

Sign-ups are now open for a signature Salem spring event, the Awesome 3000 fun run.

The annual run gives kids from toddlers through high school a chance to race around Bush's Pasture Park while raising money to support school programs. United Way of the Mid-Willamette Valley puts on the race, with proceeds going toward grants in local schools.

The race is Saturday, May 3. Registration is now open for runners, for $25, and for volunteers. Learn more or sign up here.
