Market for the Strange returns, Salem turns to slush
Good evening, Salem.
We're through the worst of this week's winter weather. Streets are melting out into slush, and temperatures over the weekend will be warmer.
High school sports and other activities scheduled for this evening and weekend are on, Salem-Keizer School District spokesman Aaron Harada said, though some coaches or activity directors will communicate schedule changes to students.
Rain and possibly some snow are still in the forecast, according to the National Weather Service, but don't expect it to stick around. Tonight's low is 33 degrees, and a high of 42 is forecast for Saturday.
