Good evening, Salem.

Much of Salem woke up to a blanket of snow this morning, and tomorrow morning Salem's roads and sidewalks will likely be encased in ice.

The hazardous driving conditions prompted Cherriots to suspend bus service Friday, and other closures are likely to be announced in the early hours of the morning.

But, at the Marion County Justice Court, the show will go on. For the third year in a row Justice of the Peace Justin Kidd plans to spend the day marrying couples to celebrate Valentine's Day.

“It takes more than an ice storm to stop the love in Marion County!” he said in an email Thursday afternoon.
