Good evening, Salem.

Another emergency preparedness training is coming to Salem starting in January.

Salem’s Community Emergency Response Team begins Thursday, Jan. 9, and runs weekly through Feb. 13. A final exercise will take place on Saturday, Feb. 15 (time to be determined).

The training runs Thursdays from 6-9 p.m. at Fire Station 5, 2740 25th Street S.E. The last class is Oct. 12.

Classes will cover basic first aid, emergency preparedness, assisting neighbors during a disaster, search techniques and more.
