Good morning, Salem.

Tomorrow morning is the REAL ID deadline. That means starting May 7, you'll need a REAL ID, passport or other federally-approved identification to board a domestic flight. That includes those flying out of Salem's airport.

You can learn more about the process for getting a REAL ID in Oregon here. The U.S. Department of Homeland Security has information about acceptable identification here.

REAL ID will also be required to visit some federal facilities, like military bases.

Children under 18 are not required to provide ID when flying.
