Good morning, Salem.

We accidentally sent an earlier version of this out yesterday afternoon, so we apologize for the double email. We've added a few more stories below.

Streets will close Saturday, May 17, around the Oregon Capitol for the annual Oregon March for Life, which typically draws a large crowd.

The annual event is organized by Oregon Right to Life to "gather to remember the innocent lives lost to abortion and peacefully call for protections for the unborn," the group said in a news release. State Rep.Vikki Breese-Iverson (R-Prineville) will emcee the event, which begins at 2:30 p.m. A march begins at 3:30 p.m.

Salem police said people should expect traffic disruptions in the area and lane restrictions or closures on some streets surrounding the Capitol Mall from 2-4 p.m. Saturday, including portions of Northeast Center Street between Cottage and Capitol streets.
