Meet Salem's First Citizen, trucker sentenced in farmworker crash
Good morning, Salem.
If you’ve taken a recent stroll through Bush’s Pasture Park, you might have noticed blue raindrops with QR codes on them.
They are part of a month-long scavenger hunt organized by the Mid-Willamette Outreach Group and the cities of Salem and Keizer. Until the end of March, raindrops are scattered throughout Bush Park, along with Keizer Rapids Park and Ankeny Hill Nature Center with fun facts about water.
The event is a way to celebrate World Water Day and educate people about local water quality.
People are encouraged to take a walk through the parks and enjoy a self-led scavenger hunt where they will receive a prize at the final raindrop. Each QR code will include a fact about water and information on how to find the next raindrop.
More information about the scavenger hunt is available here, along with starting points at each park.
